CST- DL Infrared Temperature Sensor

The PMO Series is a range of high-temperature, fast-response infrared temperature sensors designed for detecting hot metal parts or for use in counting and positioning processes. This analog sensor offers a temperature range from 500°C to 1400°C, with an ultra-fast response time of just 40 ms and a 4–20 mA analog output. A narrow 100:1 field of view is provided as standard.

Applications

The CST-DL1001HT-C-1M non-contact infrared temperature sensor is well suited for demanding industrial environments where fast, accurate temperature measurement of hot targets is required. Typical applications include:

  • Boiler furnace / combustion chamber monitoring — Continuous non-contact measurement of flame and furnace wall temperature inside boiler combustion chambers, helping optimize combustion efficiency, monitor fuel burn quality, and support early detection of abnormal furnace conditions in power plants and industrial boilers
  • Metal processing & metallurgy — Monitoring temperature of hot metal parts, billets, slabs, and strips during rolling, forging, casting, and heat treatment processes
  • Glass manufacturing — Temperature monitoring of molten glass, glass forming, and annealing processes
  • Induction heating — Real-time temperature feedback for induction heating and hardening systems
  • Furnace & kiln monitoring — Measuring surface or process temperatures in furnaces, kilns, and ovens where contact sensors are impractical
  • Plastics & rubber processing — Monitoring extrusion, molding, and curing temperatures
  • Food processing — Non-contact temperature checks in food production lines
  • Automotive manufacturing — Monitoring weld, brake, and exhaust component temperatures
  • Counting & positioning systems — Detecting hot parts on a conveyor or production line for counting, sorting, or triggering downstream processes
  • Predictive maintenance — Detecting abnormal heat signatures in machinery, bearings, and electrical components
  • Fast-moving target detection — The sensor’s 40 ms response time makes it ideal for tracking rapidly moving hot objects, such as parts on high-speed production lines

Its narrow 100:1 field of view allows precise targeting of small or distant objects, while the IP65-rated stainless steel housing ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions involving dust, moisture, and heat.
